OUR STORY
HOW RE:PLAY SPORTS NETWORK BEGAN
Re:Play Sports Network grew from ta simple conversation and a shared sense that more could be done.
Founding Directors Dr Gill Owens and Dr Ben Fisher met fora coffee. Ben shared the scale of the problem, an estimated 13 million pairs of football boots go to landfill in the UK every year.
They knew Re:Play Football was tackling part of the challenge by refubishing and reselling boots, but they wanted to go further.
Together with Co-Founder Jon Dennis, they created Re:Play Sports Network to build a wider model focused on sustainability, education, community engagement and long term impact.
